ABOUT ME:
With over two decades in the field of Behavioral Health, covering both mental health and addiction services, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of people representing a broad span of cultural backgrounds. Whether establishing crisis services for homeless members of my community or engaging in individual virtual therapy with men who maintain active careers and pride themselves on family, relationships and achievement, I work to foster genuine working partnerships, which, like any relationships, are built on tenets of trust, safety, and respect.
I work to break down barriers that often prevent us from sharing honest feedback with others, however, I never assume that what works for some, works for all. I believe that lasting progress requires focus, humility, creativity, and a willingness to take risks that all start with honesty.
I work with men who struggle to acknowledge and expose the parts of themselves that cause them pain, even when the efforts to cover this up are having severe consequences on their health, sense of security and are often times jeopardizing the relationships that matter most to them.
If we work together, we will collaborate to identify goals, informed by both your description of what’s most important to you and the barriers you see, and my knowledge and experience about problematic patterns and the interventions proven to reduce harm and promote recovery. I will be clear and direct with you about my recommendations while respecting that the real work comes down to you and your ability to implement new patterns in your own life.
